applied skills

ballet

In Ballet IV (freshman and sophomore year), I developed foundational skills such as proper fascial, muscular, and skeletal alignment to improve my technique. These skills are further outlined in the reflection papers linked below. Ballet V (junior and senior year) has encouraged me to develop my artistry in ballet through a focus on energy and effort by building upon the foundations learned in previous years.

modern

A combination of traditional Humphrey and Graham modern dance techniques and contemporary post-modern practices has pushed me out of my comfort zone while encouraging me to find my unique artistic voice. Working with guest artists Blakely White-Mcguire and Toranika Washington has broadened my perspective as a dance artist and challenged me to try new things every day.

pointe

Much like in ballet, Pointe I (freshman year) set the technical foundation needed for me to develop my artistry in Pointe II (sophomore-senior year).
